User Tiers define your status and privileges within the Sahara AI platform. As you ascend through the tiers and increase your ranking, you'll unlock greater opportunities, exclusive benefits, and access to higher-value tasks.

Where to Check Your Tier (coming soon)

• On the Platform: Your assigned tier will appear on your user profile.

• Discord Badge: Your assigned tier will appear in the official Sahara AI Discord server.

• Soul-Bound Tokens (SBTs): Designated tiers are tied to specific SBTs, serving as a permanent representation of your tier within the ecosystem. You can view your SBT in the wallet you used to sign up for Sahara.

Overview of User Tiers

Initiate

Every user starts as an Initiate, with full access to climb the leaderboard to earn End-of-Season Rewards and claim achievements.

Demigod

Demigods are elite contributors in the Sahara AI ecosystem, recognized for their exceptional consistency and commitment during Season 1. Initiates that reach to top 1000 of the leaderboard will ascend to Demigod after season 1 concludes.

Benefits (in coming seasons):

• Access to Premium Tasks: Retain access to premium tasks, which offer higher earning opportunities in the upcoming seasons.

• Daily Bonus Data Points: Extra datapoints are allocated daily for additional earning potential.

• Exclusive Rewards: Receive extra Sahara Points at the end of the season, reserved exclusively for Demigods and higher roles, in addition to any rewards earned as a top performer on the leaderboard.

• Private Community Channel: Access an exclusive channel for insights, updates, and high-level discussions with the team and other advanced users.

Ascending

To ascend from Initiate to Demigod, users must achieve an exceptional level of participation and performance. This can be done by:

• Earning a sufficient amount of Sahara Points (SP): SP is earned by completing tasks.

• Top performer on the leaderboard: Ending the season ranked within the top 1000 on the leaderboard can also secure your ascension to Demigod.

Note: keep in mind, the ascension process will become significantly more challenging in future seasons, making Season 1 your best opportunity to secure this prestigious role.

Why Tiers Matter

• Access to All Tasks in Season 1: In Season 1, all users—regardless of tier—can freely access tasks across all difficulty levels, including high-reward advanced and expert tasks. This will not be the case in future seasons, where Initiates will lose access to these premium tasks.

• Enhanced Earning Potential with Advanced Roles: Ascending to higher tiers unlocks increased earning opportunities, including daily datapoint bonuses and exclusive End-of-Season Rewards (which include Sahara Points), and even more benefits in future seasons.

• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Ascending to Demigod will give you a significant advantage in upcoming seasons, with increased earning opportunities and community recognition.

If I don't become a Demigod in Season 1, do I still have a chance to advance my tier in subsequent seasons?

Yes, you still have a chance to advance to Demigod in subsequent seasons! However, keep in mind that the ascension criteria will become significantly more challenging in the next season, so it's best to make the most of Season 1.

If I miss a day in the season, can I still receive rewards for that season?

Yes, your Sahara Points will accumulate and carry over to the next season, but your ranking will reset at the beginning of each new season. Even if you miss a day, you still have the opportunity to improve your ranking through subsequent efforts.

What is the difference between task-specific roles (Annotators & Reviewers) and Status-Based User Tiers (Initiates & Demigods)?

Task-Specific Roles (focus on the tasks within the platform):

• Annotators: Label and organize raw data for AI training.

• Reviewers: Validate and refine annotations to ensure quality and accuracy.

Status-Based Tiers (reflect a user’s privileges and earning potential within the platform):

• Initiates: Entry-level users with access to tasks and leaderboard participation.
