Tracking Your Progress

Users can track their progress using the dashboard on the homepage of the platform. The dashboard provides information about your total Sahara Points, a record of the points' origin, your rank on the leaderboard, rewards, and more.

Leaderboard

My Rank: Your ranking against other users on the platform. Ranking is determined by the total number of Experience Points (EXP) accumulated and is not based on total Sahara Points.

EXP: Experience Points (EXP) can be earned by completing achievements such as daily check-ins, submitting validated data points for tasks, and reaching specific milestones on the platform. Accumulating EXP is crucial for climbing the leaderboard, which unlocks better rewards, higher user tiers, and exclusive opportunities in future seasons.

Ranking Rewards: Higher ranks correspond to bonus points at the end of each season.

Leaderboard: The leaderboard displays the top users ranked by total EXP earned, competing for End-of-Season Rewards.

Sahara Points Record: A detailed log of all SP earned, including:

  • Date of earning

  • Source of points (e.g. task difficulty, bonus points)

  • Reason (e.g. task completion, bonus for accuracy)

Ranking Rules

Primary Ranking Criteria: Users are ranked in descending order based on total EXP earned.

Secondary Criteria: If multiple users have the same EXP, ranking will be determined by the total Sahara Points earned during the season.

Tertiary Criteria: If both EXP and Sahara Points are identical, the earliest claim time will be ranked higher.

Final Criteria: If EXP, Sahara Points, and claim time are all the same, the user with the smaller user ID will be given a higher ranking.

FAQ

What are Sahara Points (SP) used for?

Sahara Points are the primary reward unit in the Sahara AI ecosystem. They reflect your contributions and can be used to track your progress. Earn EXP to increase your rank on the leaderboard, and earn End-of-Season Rewards.

Will my Sahara Points decrease if I am inactive for a period of time?

No, once earned, Sahara Points will not decrease due to inactivity. However, inactivity may affect your EXP growth and ranking position.

What happens if my datapoint submission doesn't meet the quality benchmarks?

If your submission does not meet the required quality benchmarks for a task, you will not earn any Sahara Points for that datapoint.

What is the difference between Base Points and Bonus Points?

  • Base Points: Awarded for each datapoint that meets the quality benchmarks of the task.

  • Bonus Points: Additional points awarded as a percentage of Base Points for datapoints that exceed the task’s predefined accuracy benchmarks required for the bonus.

What are End-of-Season Rewards?

At the end of each season, participants are rewarded based on their leaderboard ranking. End-of-Season Rewards include:

  • Bonus Sahara Points

  • Tier ascension (e.g. from Initiate to Demigod)

Do my points carry over to the next season?

Yes, points carry over. Provided you have made some progress (non-zero progress) on an achievement, you can claim its NFT at the end of the season.
